Position Overview:

Riverside Research is seeking a Chief Architect to lead systems engineering analysis, technical program management, and architecture design for highly complex data and analytics processing solutions in support of the Commercial Innovation Center (CIC). The CIC is built upon a research and development environment designed to evaluate and integrate commercial data, analytics, and related capabilities to accelerate the prototyping and demonstration of innovative, commercially derived solutions to challenging national security missions and problems. As Chief Architect for the Commercial Innovation Center, you will oversee evaluation and validation of new technology partnerships and implement system-level demonstrations of enhanced commercial capabilities, with a particular focus on developing innovative solutions to orchestrated collection for resilient and real-time insights and analytics delivery. You will serve as a subject matter expert to key CIC program portfolios and as a mentor to engineering, software development, and program management staff.

Responsibilities:

Develop system-level architecture designs and oversee space systems and GEOINT R&D portfolio execution to drive related prototype development and demonstration activities
Work directly with government clients to serve as a trusted agent and subject matter expert and to help translate mission goals into realizable requirements and technical solutions
Communicate across all CIC program portfolios to identify and lead cross-functional collaboration and help implement organizational and operational efficiencies
Create and document innovative solutions and technology concepts in the form of presentations, white papers, and proposals for delivery to internal and external executive stakeholders

Qualifications:

Required:

B.S. degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related field
12 years of experience designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining enterprise-level cloud applications for GEOINT data processing, analytics extraction, and/or tactical ISR solutions
5 years of experience working with commercial satellite, communications, component, or GEOINT processing and analytics technologies in support of the defense and intelligence communities
Experience with system administration in an enterprise environment, Active Directory Administration, user and group access control, agile development, and database administration
Ability to supervise others and lead projects and deliverables within a collaborative and cross-functional environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring customer goals are met satisfactorily
Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

Desired:

M.S. or Ph.D. degree
Project or Program Management certifications and experience
AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps Associate Certification
Experience with advanced algorithm design and implementation in the areas of proliferated SmallSat constellation mission operations and tasking, computer vision, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and multi-int fusion

Global Comp:
$200,000 - $240,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
